Here is a video of us getting set up on the first evening. What I did not mention in the original post was that we had been driving for over 12 hours, covering close to 1000km and we were pretty tired. The spot I had chosen on the map to camp was impossible due to snow and mud so we continued on to a "recreation site". There were no trespassing signs on the left as we drove in and then they stopped. There was a large parking area (where we camped) and no signs. We were all set up, fire was blazing, when a car showed up. A lady got out and was NOT happy, saying we were on her land. I spoke very politely and explained we had seen the signs back towards to the highway, but that there were no signs and it said it was a recreation area. She explained they had purchased the area and were in the process of resigning the area. She caller her husband (on speaker phone) and tells him, there are three vehicles and a large fire down here at the end of the driveway, he then said "XXXX that is NOT our land!" She became much more friendly after that. We did clean everything up so there was no sign of us in the morning, other than a pile of ash and lots of sawdust!
